At the ECPR Joint Sessions (online, May 21–25, 2021), I presented this paper exploring the conditions under which minorities located in the ethno-territorial homelands of other groups are more likely to mobilize politically and to face victimization. I argued that their structural position within a rival group's homeland creates compounded insecurity that shapes both their political strategies and their risk of becoming targets of violence.
