I taught this BA lecture at ETH Zurich (853-0015-00) from 2021 to 2024. The course introduced students to the study of political violence and examined major theoretical perspectives and empirical approaches to the causes and dynamics of intrastate armed conflict. Topics ranged from classical theories of revolution and civil war to contemporary debates on ethnicity, state capacity, and foreign intervention.
