Interviewer 2 is a practice tool designed to help researchers prepare for academic job interviews and related evaluation settings.
Academic interviews often include highly probing lines of questioning (from methodological scrutiny to institutional and strategic concerns about research agendas). This tool simulates such interactions by generating role-specific interview questions based on a candidate’s application materials and the type of position they apply to.
Users can engage in an interactive mock interview, record their responses, and receive structured feedback aimed at refining clarity, argumentation, and presentation. The initial version is intended for postdoctoral and faculty job searches as well as for grant panel preparation.
The goal is to provide a structured environment for rehearsing the kinds of questions that commonly arise in high-stakes academic evaluation contexts.
